The "School House" is the original Burrundulla Public School building, which opened in September 1859 due to the increased population during the Gold Rush. The front section of the main house was built soon after, as the "School Master's Residence". The old "Girls Toilet" building still stands on the back boundary, and the "Weathershed", where the students ate their lunch in bad weather, still remains. The school closed in March 1954, and a number of ex-students still live in the area. If you are lucky enough to meet one, ask them to share a story or two.
